Capacity Management identifies wasted capacity, its causes, and provides a
clear view to management so that action can be taken to put that capacity to
value-added use.
An organization's capacity takes many forms: employees, machinery, facilities,
floor space, and capital. Capacity is what allows your organization to achieve
what it set out to do. When any one of these forms of capacity run out, the
organization cannot perform and the rest of the organization sits idle.
